Summary of the 2nd part of the year
The Wildcat-Trophy final was at the Morocco Rally around Zagora. We watched the outstanding performance of Patrick Syreijol and Pierre Lachaume, they both made an excellent race always fighting among BMW factory cars at the overall classifications. Incredible for the starting test of the Grand Prix in second line, just behind the BWM and also, they knew how to bite the priority for the 3rd second. A great race for both teams that took the 6th and 8th place respectively and we congratulate them for it. 5th and 6th through the race, they lost their place during the last stage, which was normal due to the difference between the cars. A new Wildcat crew Denis Ruiz et Christophe Labadie that made a very nice race for their first rally, they finish 17th and 3rd at the Wildcat-Trophy Marocco event. Regarding Rainer Wissmanns, he lost time helping others and he takes the 20th place, he finish 3rd of the overall Wildcat-Trophy.
Also, Pharaons Rally was carried out last October. The race changed compared to last year. It became faster, even though it offered wonderful landscapes all along.Checco Tonetti made an amazing race in the top 3 from the 2nd stage, and the crew finished 5th. Unfortunately he suffered an engine failure that penalized them at the end. Jérôme Pélichet finished 4th, with some engine problems that penalized him in the first stages, but once the problem was solved, they made twice stages in the second place. Eric Morin had electrical problems and his teammate Yannick Commagnac had difficulties due to a sore knee and clutch problems. Without all these worries, they would have probably been able to reach the top 10. Christophe Guillot, new in the Wildcat Trophy, won the Open Class, trained by Jean-Pierre Garçin.
As we can see, Wildcats are strongly present at the Cross Country Rally World Cup 2010:
Yannick Commagnac 10th
Jérôme Pélichet 12th
Checco Tonetti 16th
Pierre Lachaume 17th
Wildcat-Trophy Final Classification (17 participants)
